CELESTIAL AGRICULTURE

Last week, reading a book, “Alchemy: The Great Secret” – by Andrea Aromatico, I found this lovely line which can apply to massage and life in general:

“…all wisdom is contained in the capacity to sense with exultation this diligent hand..." ~ Elemire Zolla

Here’s the whole passage:

“The Great Work meant examining the act of examining the world with new eyes, the ‘exultation in looking about one,’ as Elemire Zolla wrote, ‘lifting up a fragrant piece of soil, picking a fruit, contemplating the iridescence of waterfalls or jewels, the splendor of human incarnation, of a flaming flow of metal.’ In this way the adept would begin to understand the ‘presence that animates, shapes, and continues to shape matter, and sometimes grasps and harden it in its fist; sometimes breaks it into piece and makes it flow like a liquid between its fingers; sometimes again caresses it and makes it shine.’ So would the investigator become responsive to the subtle harmony that animates the whole. ‘The secret of the alchemical art and all wisdom is contained in the capacity to sense with exultation this diligent hand, invisible to those who are preoccupied and unhappy.”

A bit later an anonymous author is cited as saying – alchemy is “celestial agriculture.”

The mysterious universe is our source, the seed of whatever we do, thus all our creations have celestial origins.

As Ken Kesey said, "Our job is to seek mystery, plant a garden in which strange plants grow and mysteries bloom."
